Housing

Premier Aquatics strives to provide the best accommodation for the Summer Work and Travel Exchange program participants. Renting over 40 apartments each year for only 4 months is not an easy task. To ensure the safety, comfort, high quality and close proximity to our swimming pools we work hard each year to accomplish this task with the lowest price that our Summer Work Travel employees will need to pay. Premier Aquatics covers a portion of the apartment rent in order to keep the monthly rent amount low enough for our international Summer Work Travel employees to afford.

Renting an apartment in the Washington D.C metropolitan area by Summer Work and Travel participants without assistance is nearly impossible. Most of the J-1 visa employees do not have any credit history nor even a Social Security Number, which prohibits them from applying for their own apartment.

Below you can find links to some of the properties from which we rented apartments for SWT participants in 2018:

The move in ready apartments prepared by Premier Aquatics include:

  • Furniture provided by Scherr Furniture (http://www.scherrfurniture.net/)
  • Fully equipped kitchen
  • Kitchen utensils
  • Air Conditioning
  • Access to gym, computer room, recreation amenities (if available at the property)
  • All utility bills paid directly by Premier Aquatics

Housing rent and the security deposit will be deducted from each employee's paycheck. therefore there is no need to pay for accommodations up front.  Summer Work and Travel employees will have the flexibility to choose their housing rent deduction amount per paycheck after their arrival to the USA. Below you can find an example of our housing agreement from last year, which clearly describes how much money an employee will be charged from each paycheck.
